For a while now it has been just a matter of time before it was announced. Today is finally that day as an official statement saying:
"FC Barcelona can announce that it has reached an agreement today with
Valencia
CF for the transfer of player Jordi Alba, pending the player’s medical examination when he comes to the city of Barcelona next week
," was released. The two sides negotiated a €14 million transfer fee.
After completing the physical examination Alba will sign a 5-year contract. Just 23 years old Alba is becoming one of the best left-backs in the world and is currently the starting left-back for Vicente del Bosque's Spain team that yesterday won a place in the final in the EURO 2012.

Barcelona's
