【Game Preview 】 Gamba V Grampus Preview - Kimura Out With A Broken Leg!
June 27, 2012, 5 p.m.
Gamba Osaka meet Nagoya Grampus tonight in Matchday 9 - a game that was postponed for ACL commitments earlier in the season.
Gamba are going into the game on the back of a 4-0 away win in Sapporo, while Nagoya will know that a win here will take them up the table into a position to challenge for the top 3 within weeks, having won their last two games. A tough proposition then, for the home team who, if they win, will still not catch up with Omiya Ardija, but the three points will definitely fuel the revival that is now underway!
While Gamba would probably have expected to field an unchanged side after a win, goalkeeper Atsushi Kimura has fractured a fibula in training - all this after FINALLY winning a place between the posts after many years waiting patiently on the bench! Our thoughts are with Kimura, and Gamba will surely want to win for their injured keeper!
These two teams rarely produce a draw so we can but hope for another win for Gamba and three points in the bag come the Saturday home game against Kashiwa Reysol.
