We received an excellent response to our signing of the
season poll and after a couple of weeks of voting here are the results. You had
eighteen players to choose from but there was only one man really at the races.
That was, as the title will tell you, Djibril Cisse. The R’s
striker stormed away with the poll on day one and never looked back with over
43% of all the votes we received going the way of The Frenchman.
He easily saw off the challenge of Samba Diakite who finishes
in second place with around 19% of the vote just ahead of Anton Ferdinand in
third who prompted 13% of you to pick him. Armand Traore and Bobby Zamora
rounded out the top five with 6% and 5% a piece whilst there were smatterings
of votes received for many of the other choices.
It’s been an incredible few months in W12 for Cisse; he
arrived as one of Hughes’ big signings in January just six months after joining
Italian giants Lazio for close to six million euro. His fee to QPR was
